My journey into hydroponics started, like many of my hobbies, with a Deal of the Day sale on Amazon (I have a problem. I admit it.). In this case, it was a sale on the Aerogarden Ultra that occurred Fall of last year, 2018. Of note: I grew up in Suburbia and am not a nature person at all. Not only do I squeal at bugs (animals really shouldn’t have more than 4 legs, I say), but I am allergic to lots of grasses and trees…so, you know, the outdoors.
Anyway, my one little garden has now bloomed into a room full of various systems. I currently grow cherry tomatoes, lettuce, various herbs, flowers, cucumbers, strawberries, and sweet bell peppers. Living in Michigan, it is sometimes hard to get out to the grocery store in the winter and I have found it very nice to have homegrown veggies regularly available in an extra bedroom in our house. I have been having so much fun experimenting with the growing process that I thought it would be fun to document my adventures. If my experimenting helps anyone else, bonus!
